Frustration evident at Insurance Times Fraud Charter last month.
“I don’t think the MIB is in the frame of mind to run a pilot with a real insurer and a large law firm." Susan Brown Medco Director quoted Insurance Times. Strange omission.
Good commentary on the need to analyse data not just within insurers but across the spectrum of parties involved. The attendees commented on the data-rich picture of tackling fraud. See "White Lies and Misbehaviour- a case for fraud solutions".
Dalton said: “It’s great that GoCompare are on board. It has taken a long time, but I am glad we finally got there. But this is just adding to the data-rich picture of tackling fraud.” He then confirmed that the agreement has opened the door for other aggregators to join. “We are always open to more data coming in and more relationships,” he said. “The data that GoCompare and the other aggregators have is extremely important and we want to see more collaboration with those types of firms to help tackle the growing trends.” However, GoCompare is not on the Insurance Fraud Register yet. That would require the aggregator becoming a member of the ABI, which in turn requires being an authorised insurer.
